The 5Y3GT tube is a common, indirectly heated, full-wave rectifier vacuum tube used primarily in vintage and modern guitar amplifiers, especially tweed-style Fender amps, known for providing a warm, rich tone with characteristic "tube sag" by converting AC to DC power allowing for classic audio sounds.
